2016-05-31 email to myself probably advice from pool store employee
We (at it seems all pools or at least those in the area) always have crazy high levels of phosphates
2020-05-28 I added nanophosphate tablets that claim to lower by 440 per 10000 gals so should lower ours by 666. I think the effect was a fraction of what was expected.
2020-05-25 I added about 2/3 bottle of Phosphatefree. Was unimpressed with change in level.
2023-02-02 Joe from Pop-A-Doc:
don't use teflon tape with compression fiittings use pipe dope instead
under our kitchen sink
cold is quarter turn (ball valve?) hot to sink and dishwasher is mulitiurn old style
2023-01-31 Joe from Pop-A-Doc:
Siliconized plumbers caulk allows cleanup with wet rag instead of having to put down masking tape first. He used it for the sink in the big bathroom and the toilet in the big bathroom (which he caulked in a horseshoe shape leaving the back open so if it does leak, one can see it and it won't rot the subfloor before the problem is known.)
to avoid dealing with getting the plunger device threaded into the drain tube again next time he recommends considering a
vessel drain so plunger is just decorative
80 at active is too expensive;
get it on Amazon or elsewhere
He said that the metal one I bought may make it more difficult than the plastic one (as the threads are finer). I think the plastic one is cross-threaded and that is a lot of the problem but I don't know for sure.
